In order to sustain and build on the company’s growth of 2015, and to continue to satisfy a global demand for its ship-to-ship lightering services, SafeSTS has made three key appointments in the first quarter of the current year. They are a marine operations co-ordinator in Singapore, and a purchasing assistant and QHSE administrator in the UK.

Marine Operations Co-ordinator Chong Hui Jing joined the company in March, and once she has completed her first few months, will visit the UK for further training. 'Being new to the industry, she faces a steep learning curve,' comments Managing Director, Yvonne Mason. 'However, I am confident that with the right support and guidance, she will reach the required level of expertise very quickly.'

The two UK appointees both bring a range of skills to the company’s UK headquarters. Lisa Geddes, who has extensive administrative experience in a number of sectors including oil and gas, education and the NHS, joined the Business Support Team in Diss, Norfolk, in February 2016. She joined Lucy Bilton, who joined SafeSTS in January as QHSE Administrator. Lucy has been working in admin and QHSE admin roles within the oil and gas sector in Great Yarmouth for the past 3-4 years.

'2015 was an excellent year for SafeSTS,' says Yvonne Mason, 'and we need to keep up the momentum into 2016. I am confident that our three new members of staff will prove to be the cement to our considerable building blocks of past success.'

SafeSTS operates a global network of lightering locations carrying out ship-to-ship transfer of oil, gas, and dry goods. With these appointments, the company is well-placed to take advantage of the many new business opportunities that have already been identified for 2016.
