Badaoui ... launching Castrol’s Vecton

What makes Castrol’s newly-launched Vecton unique is its System 5 technology that enables engine performance adapt to dynamic changing conditions

Castrol has launched in Saudi Arabia, Vecton, a specialised engine oil for trucks and heavy-duty construction equipment.

The latest offering from the Castrol Commercial Vehicle Oil family was unveiled in Jeddah on November 15, 2016 in the presence of over 70 customers and a dozen Castrol sales team members.

The event was attended by Haitham Badaoui, CEO of Castrol in Saudi Arabia who introduced the Castrol Vecton brand and said: "Today we are witnessing the birth of a distinctive technology that will revolutionise the way we perceive heavy duty and diesel engine lubrication. This unique technology we are revealing today comes after rigorous processing and testing under extreme conditions and the results manifested itself in what we believe is the most advanced lubrication system currently available in the market."

Castrol Vecton was also launched in Riyadh on November 22, 2016, and in Al Khobar, Dammam on November 30, 2016.

What makes Vecton unique is its System 5 technology that enables engine performance adapt to dynamic changing conditions. It also fights oil thickening, resulting in better fuel efficiency, fights piston deposits, resulting in lower oil consumption, fights contaminants, resulting in longer oil drain intervals, fights wear and corrosion, enhancing the life of critical engine components and fights soot, improving engine power all the way through the oil drain life.

Available in two variants -- Castrol Vecton 15W-40 CI4 Plus/E7 and Castrol Vecton Long Drain SLD 10W-40 – the engine oils are recommended by major original equipment manufacturers including Mercedes Benz, MAN, Renault, Volvo, Mack, Scania and Deutz.

Castrol Vecton Long Drain has been tested and proven to be the best performing diesel engine oil over extended drain intervals in harsh conditions within Saudi Arabia.

At the heart of every Castrol Vecton customer is a solid truth: "The trucking business is a battle. And only those who adapt win!" At the event in Jeddah, complex product information was turned into instant interactivity with engaging techno-marketing games. Visual content came alive through audio-visual kiosks while the overall immersive format took the audience right into the heart of the engine, for a deeper understanding of its changing conditions.
