ALUCOR construction works at the 940-MW Tanajib Power Plant

With over 35 years of global experience, ALUCOR delivers complex EPFC projects in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, combining engineering excellence, modular construction, and a strong focus on safety and quality

Founded in 1991 in the UAE as a precision machining company, ALUCOR has evolved into a trusted name in the Middle East’s industrial landscape.

Today, it delivers turnkey engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC) solutions across the power, water, oil and gas, petrochemical, metals and mining, and renewable energy sectors.

Its mission is to empower sustainable industrial & infrastructure growth and support national visions across the region.

With major operations in Saudi Arabia and UAE, as well as project-based presence in other Middle East countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman, ALUCOR has successfully executed and delivered landmark projects in power, water, petrochemical, and oil and gas, playing a vital role in strengthening the infrastructure needed to fuel sustainable economic growth.

In 2021, ALUCOR formally established its Saudi operations, headquartered in Khobar, and rapidly expanded its presence across the Kingdom.

The company is now an approved contractor with major industrial leaders such as Aramco, SABIC, Sadara, Advanced Petrochemical, and Ma’aden.

Backed by a workforce of over 2,000 skilled professionals, ALUCOR has delivered high-impact projects with exceptional safety, quality, and client satisfaction, becoming a valued partner in Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 transformation.

With a strong track record in executing complex, large-scale projects, ALUCOR has built a reputation for operational excellence, underpinned by robust systems and procedures that ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and project execution.

As a testament to its technical capabilities and commitment to global standards, ALUCOR holds a comprehensive portfolio of certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 29001, ISO 45001, EN 1090-1, ASME U, ASME PP, and National Board R.

These certifications reflect ALUCOR’s industry leadership and its ability to deliver reliable, compliant, and innovative solutions across the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, and industrial sectors.

ADVANCED MODULAR CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

In an industry often perceived as slow to embrace technological advancements, ALUCOR stands apart through its commitment to innovation.

Its in-house software team is central to this commitment, developing bespoke software solutions that directly address the specific needs of construction.

These tools are precisely tailored to enhance the company’s construction methods, refine engineering documentation, optimise project planning, and improve productivity management.

ALUCOR strategically deploys advanced technology, including AI agents for efficient material data extraction from intricate isometric drawings and specialised tools to maximise pipe welding productivity.

This technological integration serves to accelerate project execution timelines while simultaneously guaranteeing safe and high-quality construction outcomes.

Complementing this technological edge is ALUCOR’s impressive 60,000-sq-m fabrication facility.

Its strategic quayside access is ideal for transporting oversized modules, providing ALUCOR with a distinct advantage in partnering with clients and stakeholders to evaluate and implement modular construction approaches for major industrial undertakings within the power, water, and oil and gas markets.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN POWER AND WATER

ALUCOR’s expertise is reflected in the successful execution of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia.

In less than three years since its establishment in Saudi Arabia, the company has contributed significantly to expanding the Kingdom’s power generation capacity.

One standout project is the 940 MW Tanajib Cogeneration Power Plant in the Eastern Province developed to supply power and steam to Saudi Aramco.

ALUCOR’s scope of work included the erection of Class 7F.05 gas turbines (GE), steam turbines (Doosan), heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) supplied by BHI, auxiliary boilers, and air-cooled condensers, in addition to complete in-plant piping fabrication and installation and balance of plant (BOP) equipment installation.

For the same project, ALUCOR’s scope also included the complete mechanical construction of a connected water desalination plant of 5 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) capacity.

Leveraging its in-house capabilities, ALUCOR ensured precision execution, reduced timelines, and seamless system integration.

From start to finish, the plant was commissioned in under 24 months, in large part, due to ALUCOR’s use of innovative custom-built construction management software which enabled an organised approach to construction, high manpower productivity, reduced safety and quality issues, and effective risk mitigation.

In the Western Region, ALUCOR took on the 1,200-MW Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant, which is one of the most critical power projects for the Kingdom and the only power plant scheduled to supply power to the Kingdom’s national power grid in the year 2025.

ALUCOR’s scope on this project includes the installation of three F Class gas turbines (Siemens), steam turbines (Doosan), heat recovery steam generators (Nooter Eriksen), in addition to complete in-plant piping fabrication and installation and BOP equipment installation.

Within six months, ALUCOR successfully completed the full mechanical installation of all three Siemens gas turbines, including 60m stacks, enabling the plant’s simple cycle operations and is currently progressing steadily with the construction works toward full combined cycle capacity’s commercial operation.

In parallel, in the water sector, ALUCOR has delivered critical desalination infrastructure in both UAE and Saudi Arabia with several key projects currently under execution.

Recently, the company completed, ahead of schedule, a 600,000-cu-m-per-day Shuaibah 3 Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant in the Western Region, where its scope included executing turnkey mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.

With over 2,000,000 LTI free manhours, ALUCOR recently completed this project successfully and has received glowing reviews from its clients as well as the main developer of the project.

This achievement underscores ALUCOR’s ability to deliver complex projects efficiently and reliably.

EMPOWERING PROGRESS

As Saudi Arabia pursues its Vision 2030 goals–focused on economic diversification, infrastructure modernisation, and sustainable development–ALUCOR remains a committed partner in driving industrial progress.

The company’s capabilities in delivering critical infrastructure across power, water, oil and gas, and petrochemicals exemplify its alignment with the Kingdom’s strategic vision.

Whether powering cities, securing water resources, or enabling advanced industrial processes, ALUCOR continues to bring engineering excellence, operational reliability, and a strong safety culture to every project.

With a steadfast commitment to sustainability and partnership, ALUCOR is not just building infrastructure, it is building the future of the region.
