Its role as a provider of quality services was recently recognised in Oman by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) when it awarded Truckoman its prestigious Transport & Logistics Department's Award for Contractor Excellence.

Truckoman is a 100 per cent Omani company, which manages its business in a totally professional way. It has developed its own Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, which is used to manage its business and all its vehicular asset activity safely and effectively.

Truckoman's Fleet Management System (FMS) forms an integrated part of this ERP solution and is in itself integrated with a proven GPS tracking and tracing system. The whole is used to safely plan, monitor and coordinate the deployment of all its vehicular assets and manage the activities of its local subcontractors.

Each transportation activity undertaken by Truckoman is managed safely and economically. The FMS enables Truckoman to consolidate individual cargo loads, monitor driver hours and manage individual vehicle movement to optimise truck loads, carryign capacity and to minimise kilometres driven.

Truckoman's particular area of expertise is moving drilling rigs from one drill location to the next. Its management of this particular activity has been likened to an art form and is truly an impressive sight. Truckoman is justly proud of its reputation in Oman as the best rig moving company in the country.

Truckoman's combined vehicular fleet comprises more than 300 vehicles, including heavy oilfield trucks, offroad cranes and forklifts. It has a workforce of more than 500 qualified staff (65 per cent of whom are Omani nationals).

Truckoman has nearly 30 years of transport and logistics experience in Oman, mainly in support of major government projects, private civil engineering works and oil and gas industry operations.

Based in Muscat, but with satellite offices in Nimr and Salalah, it is organised into two distinct Operating Divisions - one of which is based in the North of the country, on the coast near Muscat, and the other in Nimr, in the middle of the oil and gas sector in the southeast part of the country.
