Quality is assured

As massivE investment is due to take place in the Gulf, particularly in Saudi Arabia, House of Energy & Industrial Technologies Co Ltd (HOEIT) has strategically formed an alliance with Kurvers Piping of Germany to cater to the growing demand of steel requirements for piping, fittings, valves and steel plates and structure.

With the introduction of Kurvers Piping operations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain through HOEIT, contractors and end users alike can benefit locally from some 40 years of experience in supply management for large projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, water and industrial sectors. HOEIT, who has just recently aligned with Kurvers Piping GmbH and the regional Kurvers Piping Middle East FZC based in UAE, is positioning itself to providing Industrial Products, Services and Management to cater to the mega energy projects coming up in the Gulf region over the next five years to 10 years.
"Our key strengths are our association with the world-class organisations, customer service, strong management team, rapid and flexible adaptation of market requirements and innovative client partnerships," Managing Director Adel Al-Hashim, commented.
"With such projects, material procurement is expected to exceed $9 billion through 2007 bringing on four major client concerns with regards to suppliers: Capacity, Quality, Commitment and Competitiveness," Al-Hashim points out.
"This is where we (HOEIT / Kurvers Piping) will be able to have the competitive edge over conventional suppliers," he says.
Al-Hashim elaborates, "With Kurvers vast experience, expertise and track record of supply management, our clients can be assured that project timelines are met in an efficient and competitive manner due to Kurvers alliances' with major manufactures of steel through out the world. Such alliances put to rest these concerns as Kurvers has done so in the past with its impressive and extensive reference list.
"In establishing a tie up with Kurvers Piping, HOEIT, based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, is able to supply pipes, fitting, valves and industrial building materials for large projects through the German-based global organisation, successfully operating since 1966."
"With its headquarters in Düsseldorf and subsidiaries in the UK, The Netherlands, France, Italy, Switzerland, Russia, US, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Azerbaijan and Nigeria, Kurvers is able to offer far-reaching international sourcing of bulk and special commodities with a comprehensive service in supply management for Industrial materials procurement specializing in large project work. All its affiliates are closely linked and are able to provide extensive expediting and inspection services." HOEIT's Sales & Marketing Manager S Ye Kumar, stated.

Kurvers also closely scrutinises potential suppliers and regularly performs surveys of its approved sources. Poor, as well as outstanding, performances are registered and analysed.
As on time deliveries are essential, a special supplier monitoring system is in place to keep suppliers on line.
In addition, quality plans and data books comprising of approved procedures, qualifications and certificates are compiled in compliance with the vendor document requirement schedule.
Kurvers has also developed a computerised network system covering all disciplines to provide instant and accurate information.
This gives a high and sophisticated level of order control ensuring a stronger customer/supplier relationship. With such commitment Kurvers can obtain a greater understanding of the customers' requirements, which positions Kurvers to better serve the client's needs and expectations.
Kurvers provides complete packages including pipes and tubes, fittings and flanges, nuts and bolts, valves, strainers and stream traps, welding electrodes and insulation sets making the clients project execution more manageable.
It is also able to co-ordinate and control special requirements involving several manufacturers. In addition, simple or sophisticated coatings and packaging of materials can be organised as well as the supply of non-standard dimensions, special markings, lifting lugs or driving shoes. And in terms of transport, arrangement of all types can be organised from overnight deliveries to chartering of ocean going vessels.
When asked about future plans for HOEIT, Chairman Mazen Al-Saeed, proudly pointed out, "HOEIT's vision is to become a highly visible company in the market segments it operates under and to establish strong added value joint ventures to fulfill the region's short and long term requirements.
"HOEIT's Mission is to provide innovative, practical and top-quality products and services through market expertise and knowledge. And our first and last responsibility is to serve our clients who use our products and services."
HOEIT's strong financial position, relations and data base will enable it to excel and expand its portfolio as Al-Saeed pointed out, "we are currently planning the introduction of state-of-the-art services in mechanical maintenance and steel fabrication that will play a strong supporting role to the fast track project climate facing the region today."
