Pipes are being using a Flowtite machine

Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company, one of the world's leading pipe manufacturers, has extended its product range to pipes and storage tanks for the oil and gas industries.

''This development is part of a massive programme of expansion that is planned to build on our success in manufacturing pipes for water infrastructure networks,'' said Fareed Al Khalawi, President & Managing Director of Saudi Arabian Amiantit Group of Companies.
''Amiantit manufacturing facilities produce pipes in a variety of materials using technologies that can be used for fluid systems other than water, so we are closely monitoring economic reform programmes in a number of regions where there is significant potential for business due to expansion of the gas, oil and petrochemicals industries.
''These regions include the GCC countries, Turkey, Iran, India, Romania, Central Asia, and East Asia,'' he added.
Earlier this year the Amiantit Group was awarded a contract worth 82.5 million Saudi Riyals ($22 million) for the supply of 5,000 underground fuel storage tanks for Reliance Industries Limited, India's leading petroleum company.
The tanks are being made in India by Amitech Pipes Systems India Limited, which was established for the manufacture of GRP pipes, tanks and fittings using a Flowtite machine licensed by Amiantit Technology Limited, a company fully-owned by Amiantit.
The joint venture is 70 per cent owned by Amiantit Holding International, Bahrain and 30 per cent by Salgaocar Group, one of India's biggest business groups.
GRP underground and above ground tanks are manufactured by the Amiantit Group with volume capacities of up to 48,000 gallons for storing gasoline, aviation and jet fuel, diesel fuel, and potable or waste water.
Amiantit GRP tanks are resistant to corrosion and are therefore friendly to the environment because of their non-leakage properties.
They are also strong, durable, easy to install and maintenance-free.
Corrosion-caused replacement costs are eliminated as well as periodic corrosion testing and additional expenses and concerns related to environmental issues.
From its origins in Dammam in 1968 the Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company  has become a global leader in manufacturing pipes, joints, fittings, tanks, rubber and insulation products and related accessories.
Today, Amiantit is a global group of companies with manufacturing facilities in  Dammam, Jeddah and Jubail in Saudi Arabia, and in other countries as far apart as Eastern Europe, and North and South America.
In the process of becoming the industry leader, Amiantit has acquired and developed a number of  technologies related to the manufacture of fiberglass pipes, thermosetting and thermoplastic pipes, ductile pipes, polycrete pipes, and other technologies related to pipe coating, and is now marketing and licensing these technologies worldwide while leveraging its expertise to penetrate new and emerging markets.
