The dedicated workforce of around 400 highly skilled, motivated and competent engineers, supervisors, welders, technicians, fitters, fabricators and machinists, proficient to work on various materials such as carbon steels, stainless steel and other alloy steels, work day and night to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction, the company claims.
On the industrial equipment manufacturing horizon, Olayan Descon received the 'Excellence in Performance' shield for  work performed on the Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company (Yanpet) expansion project - ethylene glycol facilities from Toyo Engineering Corporation, Japan.
The equipment supplied for this project to Toyo included 20 pressure vessels.
The company achieved yet another milestone by supplying a 150 m long flare stack weighing 130 tonnes, completely dressed up with piping, insulation, cable trays, ladders and platforms to Parsons International for the Arabian Petrochemical Company (Petrokemya) Olefins III project.
And the efforts of the company to observe stringent quality control practices as well as timely deliveries, earned it the opportunity to supply equipment for the Al Jubail Petrochemical Company (Kemya) olefins project, which included 23 types of carbon steel, stainless steel, kettle type, straight tubes and 'U' tubes heat exchangers (aftercoolers, intercoolers, vapourisers, preheaters, condensers, subcoolers, chillers etc) and 28 types of pressure vessels (dilution drum, heavy oil separator, casing drain drum, spent caustic coalescer, yellow oil degasing drum, knock out drums, separators, stripper drums, sweet water exp. drum, dry and wet flare drums as well as blow down and flash drums etc) to ABB Lummus Global.
