Tekab products ... conforming to international standards
TEKAB Company Limited, part of Gibca Group of Companies, was established in 1990, in the UAE, as a manufacturer of instrumentation, control and data cables and fire resistant cables, in addition to low voltage power cables.
The company’s purpose-built factory is equipped with up-to-date machinery and equipment to manufacture a wide range of cables in accordance with internationally recognised standards such as BSI, Kema, UL, Saso and CSA, says Ibrahim Tahan, managing director.
“Our experienced and trained work force, supported by experienced staff and management together with our quality assurance procedures, ensure that our products are of high quality and conform to international standards,” he says.
Tekab operates with a clearly distinct and recognised quality system set in accordance with the guidelines of ISO 9001:2008. Its products are certified by well-known authorities and utilities both locally in the UAE and the GCC and internationally acclaimed institutions.
“We have also gained endorsements from reputed local and international customers covering several continents. Apart from the GCC countries our products are also distributed in other parts of the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Our goal is to meet the customer requirement by providing high quality products within given time frames,” he says.
The company, which sees “challenging and brilliant prospects” plans to add new products, improve its services and expand in the market next year, he says.
It had recently added new lines for lead sheathing and steel wire braiding and introduced new materials including CPE, XL-EPR, SW4 XL sheathing, photo-voltaic insulation besides producing new thermocouple cables and foundation field bus cables, Tahan says.
Tekab, which is a leading manufacturer of industrial cables for sectors including marine, oil and gas, wind and solar energy, BMS, control, data, industrial plants, instrumentation and safety and fire protection, had supplied products to Oman for PDO’s Amal Steam Surface Facilities DDP Project undertaken by Worley Parsons Oman Engineering Co.
The company’s projects in Saudi Arabia include the Rabigh IWSP project, Shuaiba II, Kemya Halobutyl project and SEC’s Riyadh PP12 project.
