JUBAIL-HEADQUARTERED Global Anti Corrosion Techniques Co Ltd (Globetech International) is an anti-corrosion coating service provider.

The company, which has been formed to provide anti corrosion coating services throughout the Gulf Region, offers corrosion protection coatings to pipes and fitting assemblies. Its services include internal powder coating, external powder coating, custom coating, 3L PE coating service, liquid coating service and double jointing.

Globetech International provides external powder coating for handle pipes up to 1,020 mm diameter and 18 m in length. It offers 3L PE coating services, such as fusion bonded epoxy and 3 Layer polyethylene or polypropylene coatings. It applies liquid paint systems to both stainless steel and carbon steel pipes.

“Employing the latest equipment and innovative techniques, Globetech specialises in applying high performance fusion-bonded powder and liquid coatings to pipe and fitting assemblies for customers in the petrochemical, water and other industries,” says a spokesman.

All coatings are applied in a clean environment inside a new purpose-built 9,000 sq m workshop set in a 7-hectare site located within the prestigious Jubail Industrial City, setting new standards in quality and service, he says.

Globetech’s production facilities and main office are located within a single fully fenced site of 10 hectares situated in section 3 of the support industries of the Royal Commission in Jubail Industrial City. In addition to the main site, Globetech has an off-site pipe storage area of 150 Hectares (1,500,000 sq m) located within 10 kms of the main site and affording direct access to the main Jubail-Dammam highway.

The internal, external and custom coating plants are housed in a single main production building of approximately 8,700 sq m.

The building is insulated to minimise ambient temperature fluctuations, and is fitted with a comprehensive firefighting sprinkler system and an array of extraction fans and filtered inlet vents, maintaining clean working surroundings.

Lighting is provided by over 400 high-bay lights affording a uniformly illuminated working environment.

Environmentally sensitive materials such as FBE powder and paints are stored in a 700 sq m temperature controlled storage building to sustain the correct ambient conditions.

Ancillary buildings include a 600 sq m general store, a 600 sq m workshop and a generator house.

The custom coating facilities occupy 4200 sq m of the main production building split into two separate plants for large and small pieces, and are capable of processing work pieces up to 13 m in length and 10 tonnes in weight. The Internal Pipe Coating Plant occupies 2,000 sq m within the main production plant and has a capacity of 25 mm to 1620 mm diameter by 8 m to 16 m length.

The External Pipe Coating Plant occupies 2,500 sq m within the main production plant and has a capacity of 25 mm to 1620 mm diameter by 8 m to 24 m length.

The main production building houses a 100 sq m fully fitted climate controlled laboratory. Equipment includes DSC tester, bend tester, CD machine, impact tester, oven, dip tanks and associated equipment for coatings testing.

The main Administration building of 800 sq m on two floors, is sited in front of the main production building.
