Emco Wheaton Bottom loading

Emco bottom loading achieves easy filling of tank trucks. Simultaneous loading of five different products is possible. No matter, where you want: Premium in the front, Unleaded in the middle and Diesel in the rear, Emco bottom loading provides total flexibility.

The special Emco design allows an unrestricted cross over. Every loading arm can be connected to every tank truck compartment. This saves time since the filling procedure is much shorter.

The main criteria of the loading arm are safe working, easy operation and maintenance. During filling there is adequate space between the loading arms and the tank truck. The arm also gives free access for operation and offers an escape way in case of emergency.

Three key components within the petroleum loading arm design include API couplers; Balance Springs and Swivel Joints.

API couplers

K2P API coupler is drip-free; features snap-on snap-off action; has a 5 lug, 300 psi pressure rating in the closed position; the patented return pump returns residual fuel into the line after loading; hard anodised aluminium and weighs 21.5lbs

When dripping couplers are not an option, the EW K2P couplers are the only solution. There are no more drips. The patented return pump on the K2P returns residual fuel back into the line after loading. And a reusable filter helps prevent dirt entering the pump.

K2P is built to API recommended practice. It comprises hard black anodised aluminium with 4" TTMA mounting flange. These couplers are available with top mounted or side mounted operating lever.

Balance System

Cylinder Safety: In the event of failure, the springs are contained in a heavy-duty cylinder.

The loading arm maintains balance. Simple adjustment is possible in the field, while the unit is completely maintenance free.

Swivel Joints

Emco swivel joints become an ideal solution to make rigid pipeline structures movable, especially when a hose is unacceptable.

The pipelines lose none of their characteristics for carrying fluids; in fact, they gain the advantage of 360¡ rotation in all planes.

Emco swivel joints are used where easy handling, operation safety and low wear characteristics are required. The rotation function is achieved by means of one or two integrated ball tracks- comparable to ball bearing.

The ball track is hardened and precision ground, with the exception of the aluminium version. Sealing is achieved by means of a product-specific seal, which is pressed against the axial sealing surface by its pre-stress or spring.

D2000 is the high tech, low maintenance-rotating joint for all liquid applications.

It comprises a heavy duty split flange design, five-year maintenance free bearing module, low profile, high load capacity, a full range of seals and is suitable for all oil and chemical applications.
