Saudi Rockwool Factory was established in 1992, and is located in Riyadh's Third Industrial City, occupying an area of 28,125 sq m.

The factory was started with two furnaces with a production capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year. Thanks to market demand, a third furnace was built in 1999 to increase the production to 5,000 tonnes per year.

In April this year Saudi Rockwool signed a contract with a Swedish company to build a new factory, with the latest technologies, to bring production capacity to 20,000 tonnes per year by 2006,

Saudi Rockwool Factory has, over the years, performed a number of prestigious projects both in Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.

The company is approved by industrial giants such as Saudi Aramco, Sabic, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Qatar Petroleum (QP), SWCC - Saudi Arabia and Sceco - Saudi Arabia.
